I thought they created the masks to look like the deceased? So if it was made for Akhenaten then why does it look more like Tut?

How do you know it looks like Tutankhamun? Look at the recretions of his face and you will see it doesn't look like him at all. Another theory is that the actual face was added for Tutankhamun but the actual headdress itself was from an earlier burial. There are so many theories about the artifacts that it is impossible to write them all down in a post.

please keep in mind, this computer generated face of Tutankhamun, although constructed from cranial measurements, is an artists interpretation of what his face might look like, as was the golden mask.

i know its only an interpretation off what he MIGHT have looked like, but we will never know iff that picture is correct, so i think it's awsome to have atleast a general idea , don't u think??

man, science has come so far, we have a course at school all about recontrusting the past through sciene, although i didnt take it since it didnt have much historical content

thats why the sarchophagus of Tutankhamen does not look like he did in real life
