The bust that is called Nefertiti is not named. It could be any Amarna period person who could wear the headdress - a daughter?

Nefertiti, or whomever she may be (bust figure) is stunning. despite the chipped ear, which isn't what you really focus on, i'd rate her a 10. absolutely. perhaps i'm biased, but i've always felt my Mother bares a remarkable resemblance and Mom is definately a 10.

Judging from the statues I have seen of her, I think she was a quite attractive woman... no question why Akhenaten married her *sigh*
But, there can be a big difference between reality and statues, carvings shown, but maybe we'll never know the exact truth... so, from what I have seen so far, I give her an 8 (-2, because she was Akhenaten's wife and this makes little Lostris sad. and jealous. )

I'd have to say an 8. It would be 10 going on the bust but if you add all the reliefs in there.... She looks ugly in them lol

I think the Bust in the Altes Museum in Berlin is very beautiful. I don't understand why people always want to change her appearance. The reconstruction on Discovery Channel looks like a man. I think the Berlin Bust is close to real life and from that time period. It is the best representation.

id give her a 10/10, judging by her bust...It was said that the eye thingy wasn't finishd i can't remember the reason..

from the drawings i don't think a reliable basis, u really can't draw a perfect pic of a person on stone..

and her name roughly translates "the beautiful [perfect] woman has come.

Nefernefruaten-Nefertiti was the Great Royal Wife of Akhenaten, his Chief Queen. Orginally, some Egyptologists felt that Nefertiti was a foriegn princess, sent as tribute to Egypt. They based this on the evidence that she did not seem to be her husband, Akhenaten's, sister or half-sister, and that her name "Nefertiti" (Nefer-t-iti: "A Beautiful Woman Has Come") was somewhat uncommon. Some felt that it was rather presumptuous for a mother to name her new daughter 'A Beautiful Woman has Come,' but really, when one thinks about it, doesn't every mother think that their child is the most beautiful in the world? Who's to say that Nefertiti's family didn't think that when she was born that the beautiful one had come?
