That is extremely interesting, it provided a liot of information which I did not know about before, for example I never really knew why the Hyksos had settled in Egypt. If the article is correct then it is a pretty big turn around for Jewish history, having their ancestors as the oppressors of the poor Egyptians, who also happened to have a flair for cruelty and a plethora of Gods.

The Hyksos did not stage an invasion, but came into Egypt first as or tribes of Canaanite peoples, fleeing their own country and establishing themselves in the fertile Delta region in the late 17th Dynasty. Slowly, they took over power from the Egyptians, establishing their own rule, more or less in the Delta region. In the early 18th Dynasty, the Taos family, established in Thebes, united the country and drove the "hated Hyksos" from Egypt, establishing the 18th Dynasty.

My best guess would be that it's just linking big with big. Ramses II was a great pharaoh, and apparently the Exodus was an important event. Apples to apples.

Personally, I don't know. I really don't have that big of an interest in the Exodus; it's almost as overdramatized as Tutankhaten.. All I can care to do is shoot my mouth of on the subject.

I dont personally do not think there is any substantial evidence for the Exodus, and if there is let me know, I will review and coincide if shown that there is. Bible references are fine to ascertain specifics but not a absolute there in bible is god word so it is so type stuff I will just ignore.

Also route they took would be nice as well.
