Have you thought about going to the library and seeing whether or not it is available there? Read it and if it hold's enough meaning to you than you can think about purcahsing it. How does that sound?

My town's library isn't very good, I'm afraid. It's not there.

I probably will end up buying it soon though, after all, I did get at least one review from Psuennes I, and it was a good review.

Ankhesenamun_1, I can easily side with Psusennes I on this. If there's one book on which you want to splurge, this is one of the best reference books you can have. As a docent I deal with some pretty tricky questions at our museum (you never know what people might ask), and lots of visitors have questions about Egyptian deities. I have read Wilkinson's The Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt, and have reread it, and have re-read it, and...well, you get the idea. I personally consider it an indispensable addition to the private library of anyone who's truly serious about learning about ancient Egypt.

And Ramsekh, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but I noticed the talk about your homeschooling. I used to be a public school teacher and had been "trained" to distrust homeschooling. I no longer believe that. I work with an awful lot of schoolkids at the Field Museum, and some of the brightest and most sincerely enthusiastic are the homeschooled kids. And they're some of my favorites.
