...Ahmose Nefertari and Hatshepsut are my favourites....(hatshepsut has always been a woman, she just have been represented as a man in order to underline his right to keep the post as Pharaoh)...she's the best!

What about Matilda? She was crowned Queen in London in 1134, but was hated by the populace so much that she was forced to flee the area for her own safety. She had also been named as Queen of England by her father. . . but the whole thing's sort of disputable.
