[quote="Psusennes I"]I have gone into mega-pedant mode here so beware:

"ger" does not mean "silent!". It is a verb. It means "to be silent" or "to cease". As in G.E.G Lesson II question AII: "When the man speaks the woman is silent". Furthermore it should be written "gr". If you want to turn it into an imperative (i.e. Shut up!) then it should be "gr=y", as the imperative plural ending is the two reeds (y).

You clearly are only up to exercise II in Gardiner's so I shant tease you. The imperative is probably "To advance of a question" for you. It comes up in lesson XXIV. Do not patronise us. German comes from Latin, not Egyptian. Your name suggests that you only joined this forum to try to annoy others and provoke violent reactions.[//quote]

Wish to know something, before you go off on a rant, why not answer the question you were asked! Which was "tjen tepet" if I had to write it as to "jen tepey" for a man?
Don't side track and look for other liberties to throw in my direction. As it seems the only thing you've manage to do here Psus. Since you can't argue or debate the original subject with the author of the web site you so humbly humiliated with out the authors acknowledgement. You have to direct your useless energy towards me!
How nice of you to take the time to be trivial and think because you have read a book in its entirity, makes you an expert on heiroglyphs. As you've mention the words before "So What!". I was making light about Harpo being the god of silence as a boy and made the jester if when he is a man does that make him a ger man, as "to be silent MAN!", make him a german? It was just a jester thought to begin with. I know what ger/grr means.

The point is if you understood what I had said in egyptian, there is no point of you ranting.
Considering I'm going on what I remember by memory and not from a book in front of me, like your self Psus.

I think of the web and chat sites as being congenial places, and not one of a classroom.

Other than that, I have no further reason to speak with you, since you haven't answered about "t" and its relation with women. If you wish for indepth and detailed information concerning a subject? Do it by finding this out! Then maybe I'll be logical in answering you back to continue this conversation.

Considering I'm not a pro at heiroglyphs like your self. Which I will admit, but heiroglyphs are only a small portion concerning the topic I research.
In which I have only found other egyptianologist suggest that "Set" was originally a "female" deity, as it seems that all "female" egyptian deities end with "t" are for goddesses (with the exception being Wepwawet, who may also be female anyways). So I am not the only one who has inquired about this "t". The question is; can you answer?!

Heh. I just remembered that hilarious argument that I had with SerqSekhet. I only recently red his/her reply to my last post on this thread, so I may as well be gracious and answer their question.

Seth's name ends in a -t sound, even though he isn't feminine because his name doesn't actually end with a -t. It ends with the Kh sound denoted by an h with a line below it. Wepwawet's name ends with a -t because his name means ('uat' or 'duat' in Egyptian). Hence both are masculine.

Anyway. Sorry about my rudeness, even if it was last year. Claude II, I don't want to go into how opposed I am to the whole alien/advanced race thing. The Egyptians did what they did- it's there for us all to look at. Testament to just how incredibly skilled, and intensely driven by their religion these people were. Nevertheless I'd be interested to hear or see more about this inscription. It sounds very intriguing.

I fully agree with you Psusennes I. I dont think for a second
that there is aliens who help them, but as you say they are
skilled craftsman and we are yet to discover this great tools they used.

Abut this papyrus. Its hanging under the book of dead, just watch my
old VHS but the crowed is so high I can here the guide. But I have sent him
a mail and hope he will give me the name.

The line and pattern are unique be cause they are the same lines
a Laser printer produce. My theory is that they had some kind of powder
they heated up to make this pattern, The firs laser printer

Abut the Granite block its cut as it would be today with a grinder and water
My theory of this is maybe they hade some diorite roundel they
powered with people and cooled it with water
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And some more info to you all

Brussels museum is to return a stolen 5th dynasty relief

How abut that :D Now the tide is changing and soon Berlin and London will follow

A bit late but I had a thought. When someone claims an ancient artifact could not be made with the tools its makers had what is the possibility that is was actualy made by a modern forger?

Also has anyone checked the 2 items that were mentioned as 'made with tools the Egyptians did not have'?
