We had an excellent talk from a forensic Egyptologist.
She said there was evidence of attempts at mummification much earlier than most people think -3500bc. There were skulls with resin in them & rolls of greasy stuff (possibly linen) inside bodies.
She has had bones stolen by scavenging dogs. She said she has found beetles nesting in skulls & rats nests in rib cages. These rats brought in bones which led people to think they were remains of pregnant women - even male skeletons.

Do you have any proof to prove the ancient things? I am somewhat confuse how to believe on that.

Another talk to our society on Egyptian magic. Egyptians had lots of spells to protect against things like scorpions and crocodiles but apparently they were afraid of Gazelles! I have no idea what they could do.
