You guys all post these smart posts and such, so I decided to give it a whirl!

Many sources ostate that there was no Cleopatra VI, an elder sister of Cleopatra and that simply numbers had gotten mixed up.
Cleopatra Selene, Cleopatra VII's Great Aunt, was also on occassion given the numeral V after her name with Cleopatra Tryphanea, Cleopatra VII's Stepmother, being Cleopatra VI instead.

Either theory works for me.
