my favourite god is Anubis, and my favourite goddess is Bastet. I also really like Aten and Isis.

Why not? I would think it would count, since it was a god. Didn't they even worship the Aten for a short while before Akhenaten even was alive? (12th Dynasty, I believe) and it is a form of Re.

Oh I know they worshippped it. I simply meant that it was simply the sun they worshipped. He was never portrayed in the guise of a true egyptian god i.e. in human form or in human form with animal head. He was a physical manifestation.
