There is absolutely NO evidence of a sudden death brought about by murder.
All of the things that have been hyped as "evidence" of murder can also be attributed to an accident, probably involving a fall from a chariot, although the missing sternum suggests a poorly begun embalming--perhaps far from Egypt, on a military expedition. This would also explain the heavy use of ungents--masking offensive odors from the body.

If we look at history in general and rulers who have been murdered we often see a similarity. People who had become rulers at a young age and grown up with regents are far more likely to be murdered as they come of age than an older ruler is. If we think of the deaths of the Ptolomaic kings, Ptolemy XIII was killed as he began to weild more power and Ptolemy XIV disappears around the same age he would begin to weild power. In Britain we have the "Princes in the Tower", two brothers murdered in the middle ages so they could never become the rulers of England. One of the last emporers of china was allegedly murdered by his regent, the Empress Tzu-Tschi so he could never take away the power she had amassed in his youth. It seems that if Tutankhamun did die by natural causes I think it is more than likely that someone sped him on his way.
