He could have died of a disease. Or maybe he was accidently killed. But I think he was murdered because there are alot of strange things that occur after his death.

Ay and Horemheb... well, I can imagine that Horemheb say: "let's kill him, then you can rule, and after your death, which can be close for you're old, I'll rule and to ensure that, I'll marry your daughter..." (would make a good screenplay). Still I can't think of Ay as a murderer.

If only we knew whether Horemheb and Mutnodjmet's marriage took place before or after Ay's death, then we could know if there was such agreement between them or not.
