Hi, I thought a Nefertiti\Akhenaten roleplay would be really fun to do. I could be Nefertiti, if that's fine. If anyone else decides to join, it think it would be really neat. Edit (DM28 here): It's 1334 B.C. Smenkhkare has just married Meritaten and became co-regent. Nefertiti is missing, and some fear the worst. There are many rumours about the strange young prince who is now ruling alongside the aging Amenhotep III. Even among the social circles of court, nobody has a complete understanding of the tensions that have been subtlely affecting the delicate balance of traditional life. The underground, of which Ameny is an important part, watches eagerly as Akhenaten grows older. The feeling of everything starting to fall apart covers Akhetaten. All eyes are on the palace, as it's only a matter of time... Character sheet: Name: Age: Nationality: Social Status: Relatives (If any): Basic background/bio: Location: Political stance: Occupation: For example... Name: Ameny. Gender: Male Age: 34 Nationality: Egyptian. Social Status: Noble. Relatives (If any): One brother, Khu. His parents died early in Akhenaten's reign. Basic background/bio: Ameny was born to a noble family and enjoyed a relatively peaceful childhood under Amenhotep III. During that time, Ameny was fascinated by his name's sake, Amun. The year Amenhotep III died, he became a priest of Amun at the age of 15. Three years after his initiation, Akhenaten became king. Ameny did not abandon his Amun worship and is currently participating in an underground organization to keep the traditional religion alive. It is unknown, yet likely, that the organization has connections in Akhenaten's city, Akhetaten, and his nobles. Location:Somewhere in the Thebes area. Political stance: Against the cult of Aten. Occupation: Priest and part of the underground. And to help you with the confusing dates (such as Amenhotep's reign, Akhenaten's birth, Smenkhkare's birth), here you go. Amenhotep III: Born 1401. B.C. 1390 he began his rule at 11. 37 year reign. Died in 1353 at 48. Akhenaten: Born 1362. B.C. 1350 he began his rule at 12. Smenkhkare: Born 1357. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/ ... meline.png Why are these important? Age. Especially for bios. Ameny, for example, had to be old enough to remember Amun and Amenhotep III's reign, yet also somewhat young enough to be self-sufficient. To find his age, I had to look back on when Amenhotep died and when Smenkhkare came about, to establish what the current year is, but I chose 1334 since that's when Smenkhkare appeared. While your characters don't know this, Smenkhkare and Akhenaten are going to die in a matter of years. Specifically, Smenkhkare dies in 1332, and Akhenaten in 1333. Now, remember, all these dates I'm giving are disputed by some, but that's because no one knows for sure. However, in an RP, you need firm dates, or else everything gets confusing. If you want to RP a main character, like Smenkhkare, Akhenaten, Meritaten, or Nefertiti (if you plan on RPing as her in exile), then please make sure your posts are of good quality. It's no different than being the lead in a play. You have a big part, so fill it well, and know your stuff. I hope that helps get this thing started. |

Even among the social circles of court, nobody has a complete understanding of the tensions that have been subtly affecting the delicate balance of traditional life. (I hope that's what you guys mean by plot. I haven't done much role-playing, so if you guys want to change it or add something better I'd totally understand.  Also, if we wanted to start at Akhenaten's birth or something, we could always do that...)

If the Tutness can get involved, he'd be glad to do it! ^_^ Yes, the Tutness is back, missing in action since he was in hibernation...  Sleep is goood...XDAnyway...here's the Character sheet, though...does Tut really need one? Character sheet: Name: Tutankhamun Age: (( Since his older brother Smenkhare just got married...1334...he'd be...really young...ehh...maybe around 7 or 8?)) Nationality: Egyptian Social Status: Prince, youngest son of Akhenaten Relatives (If any): That fat guy, Kiya ((Mother)), Ankhasenapaaten, a lot of other sisters, older brother Smenkhare, and Step-mother Nefertiti Basic background/bio: Born as the youngest son to Akhenaten by a lesser wife, Kiya, who died while giving birth to him. ((If I may, I'm using a little bit of my manga plot here. )) Since his brother just became co-regent, he has no reason to study or anything else, so he tends to slack off and cause trouble in the town. Location: Akhetaten Political stance: With Aten, I guess, but he couldn't care less... Occupation: Prince and slacker! Hope that helped...^_^; Using my manga Tut for this Rp...I should make my own thread too, but there would be a lot of fantasy mixed in with the Gods and Goddesses, and Tut and Akhenaten would have powers, and I don't wanna get people riled up...o_o; |

XD Relatives:Father, Tutankhaten, Meritaten, Meritaten, Ankhesepaaten, Smenkhare, Thutmose (deceased), common birth daughters and sons by harem women and concubines, daughters by Kiya, Mother, in-laws who should go away and leave me be, and (by marriage) Nefertit and some harem ladies....I do not remeber all their names for I am popular. *charming grin* Basic Background/Bio:I am the youngest son of Nebmaatre...My older brother died unexpectedly, leaving me as heir to the throne....[Bio is from my imagination folks...  ] I am quiet...Speak softly....And tend to not speak unless spoken to....Although when I am around my family I tend to be more of an extrovert...Hmmmm...I like nature...and God....and only wish for people to see the Truth...I have many plans...I need only to see them to fruition...And, if you cannot tell...I am rather intelligent indeed. *smiles gently* Be forwarned-mention anything of my appearance and I shall backhand you across your impudent face!!! And I just read the dates....(I was going by the dates I have in my head...) Age:......18....(But I still been busy.....*grin*) To add on this....Some things may be inaccurate....(The dates are realllly screwing with my head... ) But uh, someone feel free to correct me if it doesn't fit in....

Tutankhaten, brother or nephew, wife Meritaten, niece Ankhesenpaaten, stepdaughter Meritaten-ta-sherit, deceased brother Thutmose, I think that's it Basic background/bio: Son of Amenhotep III and his Great Royal Wife Tiye, spent his poor little life trying to amount to something more than Prince. Finally secured both a co-regency with brother or father Akhenaten, and married the woman of his dreams, the King's daughter Meritaten. Everything's fine, except for the fact that he's about to die in 2 years.... Location: Akhetaten/Amarna Political stance: well, he's ruling as co-regent, so Atenism--although I'm about to go to Thebes to try and reconcile w/ the Amun priests Occupation: co-regent |
