I've just registered here after a few minutes of deciding which ancient egyptian forum to join (googled searched for them just out of curiosity). Anyway my username is inspired my love for the handsome pharaoh in the Night At the Museum films (if you've ever seen them) Ahkmenrah. My love for ancient egypt itself orginated in year 6 at Primary school and it's carried on ever since then. I have been on a 13 hour day trip to Egypt as part of a cruise in 2009 which I'll never ever forget, I have a small libarary of books and magazines on Ancient Egypt (a collection which'll grow further over time no doubt) and as well as this I've seen King Tutankahmun exhibition in Manchester, seen his real treasures in the Cairo Archaeological Museum and a selection of those in the exhibition that was in London at the 02 a few years back. So yeah Ancient Egypt is BY FAR my favourite period in History and I'd go there if there were such things as time machines.

I myself I was originally in love with the Great Pyramid but now I have moved in to the funerary texts and the script itself.

I do like real pharaoh's too, my favourites have to be Tutankahmun and Rameses II (Rameses the Great).

My favorite Pharaoh is Unis (or Unas), him of the Canibal Hymn. Do you know Canibal Hymn?
