In the late 1990s, the Australian researcher Ronald Pegg, asked “Why then have scholars chosen to perceive some glyphs only as abstract symbols and convert others into phonetic sounds to create 'a language' they believe was used by the ancient Egyptians ? Why use a different word or concept instead of using what the image actually represented ?” He then cited and examined the glyph is known as 'the Ra Disk' that is said by scholars to represent the Sun*. In association with four others, this circular glyph with a hole in the middle has been interpreted as representing 'the Sun God RA'. * Sign-list reference N5, page 485 in 'Egyptian Grammar' by Sir Alan Gardiner, Griffith Institute, Oxford, UK, 1927. Ronald Pegg asked “If the Egyptians were so clever, why then have they depicted the Sun with a hole in the middle ?” and asserted that “Either the Sun had a hole in it in ancient times and has accurately been depicted as such, or scholars have made an incorrect interpretation of this symbol.” He then declared that this ancient glyph was the first piece of evidence that indicated the ancient Egyptians had access to computer technology as this round circle with a hole in the centre was a depiction of a Compact Disk. As you may well imagine, this gained my attention, so I commenced an investigation to see if there is in fact, computer technology depicted in ancient Egyptian writings. Greetings from Australia. My name is Eddy Pengelly, chief researcher and coordinator of PPHC Study Group. I have been investigating various claims made by Mr Pegg since 2002 and wish to present some of my finding to your community. |

Wow, welcome to his community! It’s amazing how we know so little about such a grand civilization. I can’t wait to read about your discoveries—we welcome you to this community! Best of luck on your research, ![]() Anubis2001 |
