You all had a thread on the other forum about the pronounciation of Ma'at - here is a brief quote from that thread :
In the wise words of the genius who was Sir Alan Gardiner:
It must never be forgotten that the vocalizations thus provided are purely artificial makeshifts and bear little or no relation, so far as the vowels are concerned, to the unknown original pronunciations as heard and spoken by the Egyptians themselves. [p. 28]
I would like to suggest to you that the original pronounciation of Ma'at may actually be closer to the Masonic word Mote as in So Mote It Be. This because the Masons are the ones who built the pyramid. They were the Egyptian Mesniu where the 'iu' ending is plural and thus could be written as Mesns = Masons.
